MEET THE BOARD

  • Zee Cohen-Sanchez is the Founder and Executive Director of Sole Strategies—a groundbreaking, women-led Democratic political company.

    Zee's journey took a pivotal turn when she made the decision to leave graduate school and contribute to Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign. This experience led to her playing a pivotal role in managing a segment of AOC's field program. Through these experiences, Zee recognized the indispensable role of ground organization in achieving genuine and lasting change.

    As a recognized industry leader, Zee has participated as a speaker on political panels discussing the dynamics of campaigning and entrepreneurship, has lended her insight on podcasts like Mid Atlantic, Pro Politics, and On Brand Podcast, been featured in CNBC’s Make It, Forbes, Newsweek, Portland News, Social Media Monthly, along with others.

  • Pete D’Alessandro is a longtime activist and political advisor for local, state, and national campaigns. In 2020, Pete served as a Senior Advisor to Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Four years prior, he was Senator Sanders’ Iowa Campaign Coordinator and later helped secure upset victories as the lead staffer in Oklahoma and Indiana.

    Pete has served a wide range of candidates including Iowa Governor Chet Culver, former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley, the late U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, Former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, and Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell. Throughout his career, he has been a leading advocate for Medicare for All, strong public schools, and expanding economic opportunities for working families. Today, he resides in Des Moines.

  • Kyle Ireton (better known as Kyle I, PhD on TikTok) earned his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California, Davis in 2020 and built a successful career in Biotech with open-source statistical programming. He felt a personal calling to politics for the pivotal 2024 elections, and began in July of 2024 with 150 followers on TikTok where he first went viral for promoting the “White Dudes for Harris” Zoom call. His personal community now stands at 58 thousand, and his videos have been featured on Oprah’s “Unite for America” rally and the Meidas Touch Network. He has partnered with dozens of campaigns across congressional and state-level races to raise ~$100k from hundreds of grassroots donors. Kyle is a devoted, trusted connector for his community, and thrives in the belief that sharing stories with emotion spurs humans to action.

  • Kyle Ishmael is a founding member of Back Chamber Consulting, predominantly focusing on providing strategy to non-profit clients and has particular expertise in government relations and law. Kyle is a prominent, respected government and politics leader, advancing progressive policies and working to shape the modern Democratic Party. He is the Executive Director of the Manhattan Democratic Party and most recently served as Executive Director of the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus for six years—leading the nation’s largest Caucus of its kind through some of New York State’s most recent major legislative victories such as the passage of Paid Family Leave, Foundation Aid, Raise the Age, and numerous Justice System reforms, along with the first statewide My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.

    Kyle was named a City & State Albany 40 Under 40 Rising Star and was also twice-elected to serve as the Chair of the New York State Young Democrats’ Caucus of Color. Kyle currently sits on the boards of Build the Bench, Edible Schoolyard NYC, and the NEW Pride Agenda.

    He is a graduate of St. John’s University and Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

  • Roger Ouellette is a political organizer and communications aide specializing in speechwriting, media training, and outreach. He has been the chief communications advisor for Campaign in a Box since its inception in 2021.

    Roger has worked on behalf of organized labor in Southern California to help elect Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon and served as a National Communications Aide and Iowa Communications Director for Senator Bernie Sanders during his 2020 presidential bid.   

    His past experience includes a role as Communications Director for Iowa Gubernatorial candidate Cathy Glasson, Field Director in numerous states for Bernie 2016, and Campaign Director for a slate of local and state races in California. Before he entered politics, Roger worked as a television comedy writer in Los Angeles. He resides in Southern California and wherever Tom Joad said he'd be.

  • Raziq Seabrook is a founding member of Back Chamber Consulting. At the firm he predominantly focuses on providing strategy to business clients and has particular expertise relating to all aspects of the cannabis industry. He also specializes in strategic partnerships and executive level project management. 

    Prior to the founding of Back Chamber, Raziq was a Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs, a renown global public relations and crisis communications firm. At Mercury, Raziq advised corporate clients on government and public relations strategy, and executed high pressure strategic communications and project management initiatives. His clientele included Fortune 500 businesses, technology companies, and prominent New York based organizations. Prior to joining Mercury, Raziq worked in politics serving as Senior Advisor to the New York State Governor. In addition to his tenure in the offices of various New York elected officials, he has also worked on both State and Congressional campaigns. Raziq has subject matter expertise in labor law having worked at the New York State Department of Labor in various capacities, including serving as the agency’s Deputy Chief of Staff. 

    In addition to his public service, Raziq has also worked in the investment banking and financial consulting industries. He is a graduate of both SUNY Farmingdale and Albany Law School with honors.

  • Will Westmoreland was born into farming and comes from a long line of farmers and ranchers dating back to North Carolina in the 1700s. Winning multiple awards in Extemporaneous Speaking and Debate, Will placed third in the nation in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate and received a full scholarship to Missouri State University, where his love for politics was born.

    In 1992, Westmoreland was hired into his first political role as Field Coordinator for the Clinton-Gore campaign in Columbus, Ohio. He later served as the Young Democrats President in Franklin County, Ohio, and as the Volunteer Coordinator for Clinton’s National Health Care Campaign in Ohio. Throughout several career shifts that young people often experience while building their lives, Will continued to act as a Democratic political consultant and served in multiple elected positions within the Democratic Party in North Carolina and Missouri.

    Ultimately, in 2012, Will’s love of politics won out, and his growing experience led him to found Highlander Political Strategies. Westmoreland’s firm currently works with Democratic organizations and candidates, labor organizations, and non-profits with voter outreach in nearly every state in the union. Highlander Political Strategies notably played a critical role in the 2020 special elections in Georgia, which led to the control of the United States Senate. Westmoreland specializes in rural voter outreach and is known on social media as “Your Favorite Rural Campaign and Elections Expert.”
